birding at dusk

A walk in the park just before dusk was enchanting. Many birds were in flight and feeding before roosting for the night. The light was perfect, and the birds silhouette's made them easy to find and view with my binoculars.

Even though many Crows and Starling were present I found the following birds which are a good sample of the parks winter birds.

Anna's Hummingbird
Acorn Woodpecker (many)
Nuttall's Woodpecker
Northern Flicker
Black Phoebe
Hutton's Vireo
W. Scrub Jay
Chestnut-backed Chickadee
Oak Titmouse
Bushtit
White-breasted Nuthatch
Bewicks Wren
Ruby-crowned Kinglet
Northern Mockingbird
Yellow-rumped Warblers
Cal. Towhee
White-crowned Sparrow
Golden-crowned Sparrow
Dark-eyed Junco
House Finch
Lesser Goldfinch
